“When I was about 5 years old my cousin had a toy violin that I used to steal all the time. He used to live near me in Connecticut, but he moved to Saint Croix, so I didn't get to see him much and he took his violin with him. I begged my mom to get me a violin; this went on for about two years. Eventually, my mom found a program for me to take violin lessons online, that's when I was introduced to Ms.Peggy. She is so kind and patient. She always asks what type of music I’m interested in learning to play. My two favorite songs that I’ve learned so far are “Chandelier” by Sia, and “Bar Song” by Shaboozey. I even played “Bar Song” for my school’s talent show last year. Currently, I’m learning vibrato, so that my songs can sound more emotional and expressive.
